This awesome underwater photo of a swan stretching for its food show just why they have evolved such wonderfully long necks. National Geographic photographer, Victor Lyagushkin, photographed this swan ducking for food at the Blue Lake in southern Russia. “Swans cannot dive as ducks do,” explained Viktor. “Instead they use their long necks to reach deep water weeds…”
